More than 100 people showed up for my presentation on Thursday at the Houston JCC. We had to add extra chairs, so we started a little bit late, but we still had lots of time for some really great questions.
Then I met with local clergy on Friday before presenting at two different synagogues Friday night through Saturday night.
Over the weekend I was housed at perhaps the nicest hotel I’ve ever been to: The Houstonian. The service was impeccable, the food delicious, and the surroundings idyllic. I even found time to enjoy the outdoor lap pool. (As a New Yorker, the idea of swimming outside in November is just bizarre. And particularly because I have less than 24 hours in San Deigo before New York, Milwaukee, and Boulder next week, I wanted to take advantage of the weather while I could.)
I usually fly Delta, but Southwest will take me from Houston to San Diego.
We’ll see how that goes.
