Though I was there for less than 24 hours, I bumped into the fabulously funny Joel Chasnoff (author of the recently-released The 188th Crybaby Brigade: A Skinny Jewish Kid from Chicago Fights Hezbollah–A Memoir) and cookbook author Paula Shoyer, who recently published a mouth watering collection of dairy-free desserts. I was also fortunate to attend a reception sponsored by CJC’s In The Mix. And a packed house showed up to the JCC‘s book fair to hear me talk about And God Said and Bible translation.
Add in the beautiful San Diego weather, and it’s a bit hard to be back in cloudy, cold New York.
But I’m not here for long. Tomorrow I leave for even colder Milwaukee and Boulder.
